Project Potato

October 2018 marked our efforts toward the coral propagation, it is called project potato to replace the word coral gardening in or order to keep the coral nursery safe from the invasion by divers. The Location is in Tioman island, Malaysia. If you would like to visit the exact site, please contact us.

The Project is going to be a prolong project to restore the coral reef, healing the deceased coral in the nursery, and replace back to the original area when it ready.

Together, we managed to plant nearly 200corals using fragmentation techniques, the is no additional non-ocean materials use during the project, also, we do not plan to use any non-ocean materials in the future, size is approximately 5m X 2m. The time required for the fragment to bond with the based-rock (calcication) is about 2weeks. once it stay, it will grow by itself, what we need to do is to avoid adding stress to the reefs. Some of the team below will be monitoring the nursery from times to times.
